OFDI Program 21
GUIDELINES
Thirty minutes are allocated for each paper presentation, distributed as (max) 15 minutes for presentation, 5-10 minutes for the discussant and 5-10 minutes for plenary discussion.
Disussant role
The role of the discussant is to summarize and criticize the paper and identify strengths, weaknesses and, especially, points for improvement in a constructive manner. The discussant may also attempt to establish links to other papers at the conference. In the event the discussant’s notes are written down, they may be provided to the author.
Presenter role
We encourage you to send your PowerPoint to ofdi@cbs.dk no later than Wednesday 12 noon Copenhagen time so we can have them ready on the presentation computer. Please name the presentation file with your full personal name. Please observe the allotted presentation time.
Chair role
The role of the chair is to ensure the smooth conduct of the session. The chair may briefly introduce each speaker at the beginning of the session. The chair ensures that each speaker gives his/her presentation within the allotted time and gives an indication to the speaker when, e.g., 3 minutes are left and when the time is up. The chair will also facilitate the discussant commentary, author replies and general discussion after the paper presentations.
